Man, I feel the pain. I just bought a two year contract for my gym, and I find it so hard to find the time and energy to go, but when I am eating pastaroni for every meal... Yikes. Stupid freshman 15... Just hang in there Mattie. I love the gym because I can take my ipod and watch the office, or I got at exactly 10, so I can watch the simpsons as I run. You have cool things like rock climbing! Tis awesome.
I would take issue with your subtitle "Nothing is dumb if you like it." There are lots of things that are dumb that people like, e.g. vices they become addicted to such as smoking or alcohol. There are many other vices I can think of that people grow to like that are very dumb. Alexander Pope aptly said: Vice is a monster of such frightful mein; That to be hated needs but to be seen; But seen too oft, familiar with it face; First we pity, then endure, then embrace.
Seems like a good reason why we chould openly oppose some vices that are now politically correct such as your parents are doing in SOL Hurrah for them
That's a great point. It's too easy to see the one-sidedness of phrases like that. Maybe it should have been "Nothing is dumb if it's praiseworthy, and of good report." That sounds a bit better. I'll change my subtitle. :)

I avoid the gym for the week after new year's. It's so crowded! But good luck to you!
