Oh Calico! Miss Kitty! At one point maybe even Mrs. Cat! I think we mostly called her Kitty. Why not? I wish I could find that picture of her in my crib with me. At one point I used it for a school assignment and it was never seen again.
I used to talk to that cat as if it could understand me, and try to explain that we were humans, and it was a cat, and we were different like that. Also, sometimes I would kick that cat (a 4 year old can't do much damage) but I would feel SO badly afterward, I would pet her for about an our. Also, one time I covered her in lotion.
she was the best cat. let you kids lug her around in any position. ok, so she mangled a lot of my record covers, but still she kept us mouse-free for 18 years.

I always thought her name was Calico too. What a great kitty. We had the best pets: Sandy, Calico, Toby and of course Sturgeon ad infinitum.

For some reason, Calico and I never really seemed to hit it off. Turns out I am now allergic to cats. ???
